Chateau Le Borderon
Château l'Arrivaux, the mother castle is located in the town of Cissac Médoc, in the Haut-Médoc appellation, at the gates of the prestigious Saint Estèphe appellation in Bordeaux Region. All in all it is 47 Acres of vineyard, made up of 3 islets which surround the property. Surrounded at the East by the Gironde River and at the West by the Atlantic Ocean this terroir benefits from the influences of these bodies of water limiting the excesses of heat in the summer and cold snaps in winter.
Built in 1581, the reigns of the domain is passed from mother to daughter and as of today the rule hasn't been broken: Bérangère Tesseron is now perpetuating the legacy of a prestigious vineyard. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot are the backbone and enter in different proportions through the vintages depending on weather, yields and nature's choices.
Made of the 4 house varietals this Merlot forward Haut-Médoc shows delicious notes of blackcurrent, blackberries and finishing notes of vanilla and roasted coffee beans. Perfect for any cut of game or even a juicy piece of beef.

About the Wine
Château Le Borderon's mother estate, Château l'Arrivaux, sits in Cissac-Médoc in the Haut-Médoc, at the gates of Saint-Estèphe — 47 acres across three islets. Between the Gironde and the Atlantic, the terroir is tempered by water on both sides; built in 1581, the domaine passes from mother to daughter to this day.
