Production Notes

Domaine DUFOUR Based in the town of Régnié la Durette, in the heart of the Beaujolais region, Domaine Dufour was founded in the 19th century which is when the family tradition in wine started. Florent with his wife and live in the middle of their vineyards. Vineyards are situated mainly on coteaux (hillsides) which gives better drainage for the vines, the juices are concentrated which results in highly aromatic wines. Harvest is exclusively done by hand for the entire Domaine and all reds were aged in used oak barrels of 700L capacity (low oak impact). The Régnié appellation is one of the most recognized in Beaujolais, although not very well known because it is a small area. Enjoy this light but flavorful wine on it's own or with a summer meal.

About the Wine

From Domaine Dufour in Régnié la Durette, founded in the 19th century. Régnié is one of Beaujolais' most recognised crus; these hillside Gamay vines, hand-harvested and aged in large used oak, give a balanced wine of red and black fruit with good tannin structure.
