Chardonnay, Beaujolais

Domaine DUFOUR Based in the town of Régnié la Durette, in the heart of the Beaujolais region, Domaine Dufour was founded in the 19th century which is when the family tradition in wine started. Florent with his wife and live in the middle of their vineyards. Vineyards are situated mainly on coteaux (hillsides) which gives better drainage for the vines, the juices are concentrated which results in highly aromatic wines. Harvest is exclusively done by hand for the entire Domaine. Only about 2% of the Beaujolais region is planted with Chardonnay to produce white wine. Mineral, light with notes of stone and ash. Some have even gotten peanut butter out of this complex wine!
