Based in Saint Romain, Lucien's family have owned these parcels for centuries. The Hautes Côtes de Beaune offer a great value as the exposition is optimal (south-southeast) and it captures the morning doe coming down from the plateau. As if growing vines & making wine wasn't enough, Lucien revived his family's heritage by growing wheat on that very plateau, just behind Saint-Romain.

Needless to say that his approach is very unique and only shared by a handful of producers in Burgundy.
