Grower Champagne, Explained
February 4, 2026
Most Champagne is made by large houses that buy grapes from thousands of growers. Grower Champagne is different: the same family farms the vines and makes the wine, so each cuvée tastes of a specific place and season.
Look for the letters “RM” (récoltant-manipulant) in the fine print on the label. These are estate-grown, estate-made Champagnes — vinous, distinctive, and made in tiny quantities.
Champagne Guilleminot, led by Corinne Guilleminot, is exactly this kind of house. It’s the backbone of our Champagne club tier.
